For nearly a century, technical analysis has struggled to prove its credibility in the financial markets. Incredible efforts have been done in the international front to include technical analysis as part of major universities' curricula. Furthermore, organizations are being established almost yearly to promote technical analysis all over the globe. Consequently, one would rarely come across any financial market where technical analysis doesn't play a key role; whether that is in the United States, Europe, Japan or even in less developed Asian, African and Latin American markets.

Some people might think that the mission to advance technical analysis worldwide has hence been completed. But we, at Trend University, have a different view. We think that the mission has just started. We believe that technical analysis deserves more academically.

It is true that technical analysis has become synonymous with financial markets, but that does not necessarily mean that the world has enough calibers to capitalize on the current success and achievements. If we want to produce another Charles Dow, Ralph Acampora or John Murphy, to mention a few, then we must make technical analysis a little more academic. Trend University was established with this idea in mind.

Here at Trend University, we have set a clear mission as follows:
"We are here to produce a unique generation of international technical analysis asset managers".
No matter where you live, no matter what language you speak, not matter how much money you have, we are committed to help you become a professional technical analyst, with the ability to either manage your own assets, or assist asset managers in their job. Furthermore, we are dedicated to teach you new tools and techniques, which we believe would revolutionize the technical analysis approach.

As a result, on Friday 29 December 2006, we were granted the academic license and Trend University officially became the first technical analysis university in the world. It is a great pleasure for me to welcome you, and I wish that your stay will prove enlightening, pleasant and educational.
